I received a “Notice of Public Hearing”. What does this mean?

State statutes and local regulations require that abutters be given notice whenever certain development projects require permits. You are being given legal notice in accordance with applicable regulations. The notice will indicate the location and general scope of the proposed development, and the time of the Public Hearing where the general public may comment on the proposal. Generally, only one notice is provided and you would need to attend the meeting to find out if the meeting has been continued, or if there will be any site walks. You may also review the proposed development plans at the Planning Dept. Office during regular Town Hall business hours.
