This page includes a variety of resources for families experiencing dementia. The Norwell Council on Aging does not endorse specific businesses, but offers a list of available resource information. ARE YOU A DEMENTIA CAREGIVER? WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Are you or someone you know a caregiver for someone living with dementia? If so, we’d like to hear from you! Please take a few moments to take our SURVEY. Responses pare confidential and contact information is optional. This will help us identify the needs of caregivers for those living with dementia, and assist in planning for future programming and support. - Alzheimer's Association 24/7 Helpline (800-272-3900). Please also keep this number handy. This line is manned by Master’s level clinicians that are available to support caregivers and family members in many ways for Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias.

Forget Me Not Cafe
The Forget Me Not Cafe is a 1.5 hour social program, held typically on the 2nd Friday and 4th Tuesday of the a month, at the Norwell Senior Center, located at 293 Pine St.
Supportive Day Programs
Supportive Day Programs are designed to promote and enhance the social, physical and cognitive skills of elders. It is suitable for the memory impaired, those with physical limitations or those who are isolated and homebound. This is also good respite option for caregivers. There are two types of day programs, Social Day and Adult Day Health programs.
Social Day programs are for individuals with early-stage Alzheimer's disease or a related form of dementia, that offer strictly socialization, activities and stimulation in a safe and supportive environment. Participants are able to perform activities of daily living independently. Social Day programs may be available one or more days a week and are typically private pay.
Adult Day Health programs provide an engaging environment that offers socialization, activities, meals, care, and compassion to all adults and aging seniors with various physical and cognitive needs. Centers are typically staffed with healthcare professionals who can provide medical services with a physician’s order and assist with daily living activities, while ensuring proper and personalized care Adult Day Health programs can be available one or more days a week and may be private pay or sometimes covered by Medicare, MassHealth or other insurances.
