NOTICE TO NORWELL RESIDENTS REGARDING WATER RESTRICTIONS
Wellfield groundwater levels are critically low due to a lack of precipitation and a continued high demand for water.
Since Labor Day weekend, Norwell’s nine (9) groundwater wells have been operating 24 hours per day to meet demands and maintain water storage tank levels.
Maintaining full water storage tanks is essential for fire fighting purposes. Fires are most likely to occur under the present dry conditions.
With warmer weather forecasted for this upcoming weekend and no significant precipitation expected, Norwell residents are reminded that the Water Restrictions imposed July 2, are still in effect.
Compliance with restrictions is imperative at this time as both the Town’s groundwater resources and pumping facilities are being over burdened.
Restrictions are available for viewing on the Town’s website.
