HOUSE NUMBERS
Many people don’t realize how important it is to have house numbers prominently displayed. In case of emergency, fire and police personnel rely on house numbers to find you as quickly as possible. The COA also relies on house numbers when delivering meals or providing transportation. In keeping with the spirit of June’s National Safety Month, we’d like to encourage you to add number to either your house or mailbox. For those who are unable to do this on their own, the COA will gladly purchase house numbers and arrange to have them installed by one of our handymen. For more information, call the COA office at 781-659-7878.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Do you use Betty Crocker, Bisquick, Yoplait or other General Mills product? Take a moment to clip the Box Top for Education symbol on the container or label.
Box Tops for Education is a nationwide fundraising program sponsored by General Mills through which they donate $.10 cents for every box top collected to schools. Last year, Norwell’s Cole Elementary School received approximately $1,100 from General Mills for the 11,000 Box Tops collected. This money is used to help purchase supplies, equipment and offset field trip expenses.
The Cole School serves lunch once a month to Norwell seniors. Box Tops can be dropped off at the collection box in the Cole School lobby or may be dropped off at the COA Office. Remember, no extra purchase is necessary, just clip what you already have. Thank you for the support.
